Greco acoustic guitars7/1/2023 ![]() Also in the mid / late 1960s, Kanda Shokai exported some Greco-branded guitars based on Hagström and EKO designs to Avnet / Goya in the USA, and these guitars were made by FujiGen and Matsumoku (and possibly Teisco) factories, and were very similar to Ibanez guitars 1960s based on Hagström and EKO designs. Kanda Shokai initially used the Greco brand name for solid body models and the Canda brand name for acoustic models, which was based on the company name Kanda (Canda). ![]() ![]() It was not until 1966/1967 that Kanda Shokai Greco began marketing style models Telecaster. The Kanda Shokai was established in 1948 and the Greco brand started in 1960. Kanda Shokai (Shokai means business company) is a wholesaler of musical instruments known mainly for being part of Fender Japan. Greco ( Japanese : グ レ コ Gureko ) is an electric guitar brand produced by Kanda Shokai 神 田 商会.
